Obama (doesn't) care

I don't think I will be covering politics on regular basis, however I feel there are some things that need to be addressed. Health care in this country has gotten out of control, it has become a health care war, where Joe Leiberman maybe the deciding vote.
The public option has been getting a lot of publicity for good reason. While I don't like the idea of taxes for health care, the real problem is the move form the public option to a single payer system. This means one health care provider, The GOVERNMENT. The thing is, this plan doesn't work anywhere in the world as well as what we have now. Let me give you an example. Call a your family doctor some morning because you kid is sick and they can see you that afternoon, not two weeks from now. The problem is it's expensive. Health care is expensive. Although so are cars, should we let the government buy them for us to? I say everybody will drive a Ford and it will cost us a the same as Lexus. Guys listen, the government never makes anything cheaper. Cash for Clunkers ended up costing almost three times the what the original bill had alocated. With this math it wont cost us 2.5 trillon over 10 years it will cost 7.5 trillion. Thats more money than the government spent from 1776 untill 2003 total. With no one to compete with in a one payer system everybody looses. The Democrat's in this country would have you believe that this is free health care or a cost neutral program. Which will not add to the national debt. The problem with this statement is math and logic. They would have you believe that if the government provides you a service that cost nothing from you at the time of service than it is free. People in this country have very short memories. Look the government doesn't earn money all it has it gets from you. I understand that this is an emotional topic for most people. I have an Aunt and Uncle that are self employed. They have to buy there own health care which cost way more than they can afford. With my Uncle recently having had a heart attack health care becomes an absolute necessity. We need a solution to this problem, that's obvious. However handing over 28% of the US economy to the government is a worse idea. They will raise your taxes in order to pay for this new program. So yes we will not be getting the money from another country they will be getting the money from you. So no addition to there bottom line, just yours. Nancy Pelosi has said that the taxpayers will not be paying for this. So if were not borrowing it and were not taxing for it, I would love to know where government gets money to pay for things, if not from taxpayers. Raffle tickets perhaps? The big rub here is that this article states that Lieberman lied by saying we don't need another government in title program. The left says it is not an entitlement program ie. Social Security. I will tell you something if you are going to tax me to pay for it I'm damn sure entitled to it. Last I want to point out that the are many more important things that the left refuses to look at like, limitation on lawsuit damages, cross state competition for health care providers that will bring cost down. The fact that we are not even having this discussion shows that the Democrats really want you on the government hand out. Trying to fix a crisis that only exists in their mind. Look people with the economy in shambles people are scared. They want to know that they're going too be ok. We all want too know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. That's fine but don't turn to the government to help you or we may never get out. If you really want this ask the Britt's why they keep coming here. Also, ask the Canadians why the come here for knee and hip replacements instead of doing it at home? Something needs to be done, however the president isn't qualified to regulate health care and neither is the Senate. We need doctors and people making this decision, we are a country of majority rule. We as a people need to vote on this issue. The needs of many cant out way the few. Yes there are 50 million uninsured Americans, but there are 265 million insured ones.

Windows Movie Maker is a hit!

Windows 7 brings with it a lot of new and exciting features. I for one lamented the fact the Microsoft never really took care to develop a strong suite of media software. Windows XP used outlook express for email and Movie Maker for just that. The problem here is that Outlook is a terrible program. Movie Maker just felt neglected. For to long Apple has been the domain of creative types. It is time that changed. Microsoft is releasing an new version of Movie Maker that if fantastic. Windows live now takes over Email, Photo's and a blogging tool that is also very good. One downside is that Microsoft doesn't include this suite nativly in Windows. It must be downloaded from Microsoft's web site. However many PC makes including Dell are preinstalling this suite for you. All of these programs are available for free and all on three operating systems except Movie Maker. That is Vista and 7 only. Here is a quick video of Movie Maker. Pretty good I think. Go download them and show your Mac friends, they maybe suprised that iLife isn't the only game in town anymore. Go to download.live.com.

Apple sucks at advertising

Apple resorts to making fun of past versions of Windows to make them self feel better about there now decade old OS. By the way when did you air these ads from the 80's? I mean if were taking a stroll down memory lane it would be nice if the memories existed. I have to ask what was wrong with Windows 95, XP . Look Apple knows that buy the time
Windows 3.1 rolled around Apple knew they were getting there clock cleaned in the market. By the time Windows 95 appeared Apple was no more than a distant memory never to be seen or heard from again. Until the iPhone that is and credit where credit is due, that thing also sucks. I mean maybe it's just me but if Apple is selling this thing against a netbook as they showed at the iPod event last September. The fact that this thing can't multi-task is unacceptable . Even Steve Jobs (after he left Apple) was quoted "by the time Windows 3.1 appeared our advantage was gone." Basically , Microsoft had caught up". Well guess what Steve, Microsoft has done it to you again. Apple makes some great products buy the obsessive control will end up destroying the company it almost happened once. Apple was clearly in the lead for close to a decade but I'm afraid Microsoft my finally put to rest any idea of an Apple resurgence . 13 million Macs may sound like a lot but with "Microsoft" moving nearly 300 million a year it's just not enough. Apple had it's opportunity during the Vista years and they nearly squeaked out 2% gain on Microsoft. Apple makes beautiful hardware but soon the will all be running Windows... again. Enjoy. Just remember Apple the bigger you get, the bigger that target on your back gets. I'm just saying.Have no fear I'm sure Apple's ad agency are using Macs so these ads should just delete themselves.

Bing adds live Twitter updates to search

Well that's pretty much it. It sounds much cooler than it works but I can see this fast becoming very useful. Also as a me too story Google announced that they will also be incorporating Twitter into there search monster in " the coming weeks to months", so try it out, Bing has it now and Google will get right in a few months.

Blackberry Bold2

See now this is real smartphone, I mean really Apple my dog can do one thing at a time and hes not that smart. Multitasking it the key to our lives. Shouldn't your phone do it to? As soon as Tmobile offically announces this new Blackberry Bold2 sometime around the end of the month, this is what I'll be rocking. I just thought I'd share this with you. It's pretty nice don't you think.

Apple lies, well that's nothing new

So today I was trolling around, and I noticed a post commenting on on Apple's ad strategy for combating Windows 7. What I read was very interesting. It stated that Apple's COO Phil Schiller said "we are going to continue to push on the virus issue and ease of use. He then added we will also be pushing on the lack of an path upgrade from Windows XP to 7." Wait.. what, this from the company who has said that all new Macs, released today, will only run Snow Leopard and are not backwards compatible to leopard and that if you bought a Mac less than three years ago ie. Power Pc Macs Snow Leopard will not run period. Forget upgrade path this thing wont run if you shot it with a cannon. Tye code for Power Pc chips has been striped out of the Os. Only Intel chips apply. So Apple has the balls to call out Microsoft for requiring people to do a full back up, which you people should be doing anyway, then install 7 and then re download your applications. Okay so a Saturday is lost upgrading to Windows 7. Well look at it this way five years from now when your friends are pleading with Apple not to obsolete there system, you can rest warm in that compatibility may mean a somewhat bloated Os but at least the shit will work. Listen with all the reports about users data being erased without so much as an explanation, (to get the whole story check out Engadget's article Snow Leopard 'Guest Account' bug deleting user files, terrorizing children? ) Apple better do some house cleaning before the do anymore poking of the giant. I have a feeling Snow Leopard could turn out to be Apple's Vista.
